Online Learning FAQs

Here are some of your frequently asked questions. 

How will online instruction work? 
Students will have ample face-to-face time with instructors. Classes will be held live via Zoom. Students will be able to access class materials via Google Classroom. Students will follow a reduced class schedule to optimize the time spent learning. They will also follow the pattern of the school day as normally as possible, including engaging in prayer, listening to announcements and engaging in mass and service hours.

Will virtual office hours be held? 
Yes. Students will be able to attend virtual office hours via Zoom. 

What if a student has to miss a class? 
If students are unable to log on to a class session for any reason, the absences need to be cleared by a parent via [email protected]

What will SJM be doing to make the online experience as close to in person instruction as possible? 
Students will continue to get a fantastic San Joaquin Memorial education online. Teachers will teach from their own classrooms on campus and students will learn via live instruction via Zoom. The goal is to continue to give students the support they need while planning to open the campus as soon as it is safe to do so.

What classroom management software is being used instead of Powerschool?
