This week, San Joaquin Memorial High School took one big step toward normalcy, with the majority of faculty and staff getting their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine following the state’s announcement that teachers and school staff are now eligible.
"I am really excited that Dizon Urgent Care made arrangements to offer vaccines to our entire faculty and staff,” said Michael Burke, Head of School. “Our employees jumped at the opportunity to get the Moderna vaccine. 77% of our faculty and staff now have at least the first shot and before the end of March we will be fully vaccinated.”
Dizon Medicine Urgent Care+ vaccinated staff and faculty throughout the day earlier this week. The vaccinations mark the beginning of the opening of campus to more students. On March 15, the school will reopen to any student who wishes to attend in person. With safety measures in place, the future looks bright.
