San Joaquin Memorial High School will exemplify its identity as a Roman Catholic school founded on Gospel values though faith formation, worship, campus ministry and service oppurtunities, in order to manifest these values within our school, our families, our parishes, and our community. 

San Joaquin Memorial is a diocesan Catholic high school where spirituality, learning, and service thrive. The Gospel values are enlivened through SJM’s commitment to:

• Nurturing the whole person; heart,  mind,  body, and soul
• Diversity: Respecting and welcoming students and staff of all faiths, backgrounds, religions, cultures, and nationalities, and embracing the spirit of Vatican II ecumenism
• Providing opportunities for worship thorugh prayer, Mass, Reconciliation, liturgies, and faith formation offerings
• Instilling compassion and a dedication to serving the poor and marginalized; including service immersion trips, all school day of service, projects at neighborhood non-profits, and collaborating with a number of local agencies serving the disenfranchised 
• A Religious Studies curriculum including Catholic Christianity, Scriptures, Morality, World Religions, Peace and Justice
• Retreats, including class retreats and Kairos, planned by our Campus Ministry Team
• Building community and developing servant leadership through sports, clubs, extra-curricular activities, student government, peer counseling and mentoring, school service days, Panther Palooza fun day, rallies, and dances
