AMBASSADORS

Purpose: To create a welcoming atmosphere here at SJM by providing an introduction and information about our school to interested or new students, their families, and interested community members. Represent SJM at both school and community events by building relationships within and beyond our community.
 

NATURE CLUB

Purpose: Our students along with Beautify Fresno Mayor Dyer's initiative is to improve the City of Fresno's “curb appeal” through the coordinated delivery of existing City resources to eliminate trash, graffiti, and blight, and by creating community-based cleanup and beautification projects.

BLACK STUDENT UNION (BSU) 

Purpose: To embrace African-American culture and history and discuss relevant news that affect people of all races. Bringing enlightenment to issues of stereotyping, race, and inequality. Initiating education is the main platform for the group.
 

CALIFORNIA SCHOLARSHIP FEDERATION (CSF)

Purpose:  Service, scholarships, leadership and citizenship.  Activities:  Tutoring other students, Christmas toy and food drive and cultural outings.  Membership is by grades.
 
CULTURE OF LIFE CLUB

Purpose: A way to spread the culture of life in your own community. Students of all ages can benefit from joining a group where they can talk about and strengthen their pro-life beliefs, plan fun activities, and evangelize within their community.


MATH CLUB 

Purpose: To provide students with a chance to explore math outside of the classroom, while improving problem solving skills and participating in competitions.
 

NATIONAL HISTORY HONORS SOCIETY (NHHS)

Purpose: To bring together students and teachers with a real passion for history, helping them learn from each other’s ideas, experiences, and stories. A main goal is to enjoy learning, reading, writing and living history, as a means to better understand today’s world and future potential experiences.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY (NHS)

Purpose: To create an enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to render service, promote (a worthy leadership, and encourage the development of character in students of SJM. Membership is attained by selection; juniors and seniors only with a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.75 and exceptional record of service, leadership and character.
 

SERVICE (S CLUB)  

Purpose:  A service oriented club, where members volunteer time for different services to promote citizenship toward the school and community, while fostering team spirit and camaraderie on campus.

FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA (FFA)

Purpose: To promote student learning in an area of agriculture that interests each student, then they gain hands-on experience in that field through FFA. An FFA chapter is the student organization arm of a school-based agricultural education program. 
 

WORLD LANGUAGES / CULTURES CLUB 

Purpose: To promote the study of World Languages and foster an understanding and appreciation of other cultures. We want to encourage all students to study a second language. 

SPEECH & DEBATE CLUB 

Purpose:  To give young scholars the practice and the platform they need to eloquently argue a position on key topics and to enjoy debate and public speaking.
