San Joaquin Memorial is a diocesan Catholic high school where spirituality, learning, and service thrive. The Gospel values are enlivened  through SJM’s commitment to:

  • Nurturing the whole person;  heart,  mind,  body, and soul
  • Diversity:  respecting and welcoming students and staff of all faiths, backgrounds ,religions, cultures, and nationalities, and embracing the spirit of Vatican II ecumenism
  • Providing opportunities for worship: prayer, Mass, Reconciliation, liturgies, and  faith formation groups
  • Instilling compassion and a dedication to serving the poor and marginalized; including a service education requirement for graduation, campus food and clothing drives, and work with local agencies such as Boys and Girls Club and Catholic Charities
  • A  Religious Studies curriculum including Catholic Christianity, Scriptures, Morality, World Religions, Peace and Justice
  • Retreats, including class retreats and Kairos, planned by our Campus Ministry Team
  • Building community and developing servant leadership through sports, clubs, extra-curricular activities, student government, peer counseling and mentoring, school service days, Panther Palooza fun day, rallies, and dances
