How To Log Hours on x2VOL – Our Service Hour and Reporting System

From tablet or smartphone:

  1. Download the x2VOL app and follow the prompts”

From a computer:

  1. Sign on to Naviance Family Connection
  2. Click on the x2VOL link under the “Resources” on the left hand side of your screen in Family Connection.
  3. Select “My Activity Hours”
  4. Click on “Add an activity of your own”
  5. Complete the form
  6. Click “Submit”

Please note that approval on hours may not happen without the contact supervisor verifying the student submission through x2VOL. If entered properly, the contact supervisor for each submission should receive an automated e-mail requesting verification for submitted service. Once the service is verified, the submission may be approved. Note: Approvals will not be immediate and may take up to one month to be processed. 

Naviance

Naviance is a college and career readiness platform that helps connect academic achievement to post-secondary goals. SJM offers Naviance to students as parents as a college and career preparation tool.

The Naviance platform empowers students and families to connect learning and life, and provides schools with the information they need to help students prepare for life after high school. It also allows students to create a plan for their futures by helping them discover their individual strengths and learning styles and explore college and career options based on their results.

Students and parents are encouraged to use Family Connection, a customizable planning portal that helps students assess their strengths, interests and learning styles, set long-term goals, create multi-year course plans and plan for college.

PowerSchool

PowerSchool is a web-based student information system that provides a collaborative environment for parents, teachers and students to work together in preparing 21st century learners for the future.

PowerSchool provides portals for teachers, parents and students to handle attendance, grading and assessment reporting, just to name a few features.

Parents of freshmen and transfer students will receive their PowerSchool access ID and password at the orientation parent meeting and will then need to set up their parent portal account.
