Memorial’s goal is to empower students to make positive changes in the larger community and thoughtful choices for the future. Memorial calls students to discover God in all things and to find community in diversity, strength of character, kinship with creation, social justice, and joy. Community service, is an essential part of the Memorial experience and focuses on serving marginalized populations. Serving in solidarity with others and learning the diverse needs of the local community is a primary value and objective of Memorial's service program. Additionally, students are encouraged to process these experiences in relation to their education and their faith throughout their time at SJM, most specifically within the context of a culminating presentation given during senior year. One hundred percent of Memorial’s students serve in the community as an extension of God's love.
